POOJA KUMAR
Executive Director & Board Member
Pooja completed her B.Com. from Queen's and followed it up with a Graduate Diploma in Accounting. She currently serves as a Controller at Harris Computers. Prior to that, she worked at Ernst & Young in various capacities while earning her CPA, CA designation.
Pooja has a strong passion in enabling and empowering others. She firmly advocates policies of inclusion and right to education.
She has been involved in many charitable causes throughout her academic and professional career including serving as Board member at Learning Disabilities Association of Kingston; and volunteers with many charities, e.g. Habitat for Humanity, CPAO Mentorship and Financial Literacy.
VINOD KUMAR

Vinod obtained his engineering degree from IIT Roorkee in India and an MBA from the Australian School of Business. In his 35 years of professional career, he has worked in senior management positions for many multinational companies around the world.
Vinod is a people enabler and knows how to bring out the best in people. He is compassionate and strong advocate of the rights of underprivileged members of the society.

PHIL SHAER
Board Member
Phil is the Chief Legal Officer at Canopy Growth Corporation and leads Canopy’s legal, & reporting obligations and Canopy’s HR. Before that, Phil worked for almost a decade as General Counsel at Conversant Intellectual Property Management Inc.
In 2017, Phil was named Dealmaker of the Year at the Canadian Lawyer In-house Innovation Awards. Phil also received the Ottawa Business Journal’s Top 40 under 40 Award in 2008 and was a finalist in both Lexpert®’s Rising Stars—Leading Lawyers Under 40, in 2011 and the Canadian General Counsel Awards – Dealmaker of the Year, in 2018.
Phil has worked on the Board of many charities and NPO's.
ELIZABETH REN
Board Member
Elizabeth Ren is a CPA, CA. After earning her B.Com. (Honours) degree from University of Toronto, she began her career at KPMG and rose to Manager. Liz is now a Controller in a division in Harris Healthcare.
Liz is passionate about volunteering and helping those in need, always staying involved in many charitable causes.
